Stretch X4 across 2 monitors

I would like to have X4 draw on both of my monitors. I am not looking for anything special, just really stretch. That does not seem to be possible. Whenever I make it cross the other monitor (in windowed mode) the game immediately resizes itself on one of the monitor only. The settings in the game also allow to only select monitor 1 OR monitor 2, not both. So what are my options?

I guess you could put the game through a projector and show it on a wall...or buy one really massive single screen ! Two screens....certainly an impressive idea though.

Assuming you have two identical, or nearly so, monitors you might look into custom resolutions. It can be done through the control panel of an nvidia GPU but I’m not sure about AMD. I briefly toyed with the settings some years ago with only marginal success for a different game, you may have better luck.

I figured it out! I do indeed have 2 identical monitors and an nVidia card, so I just use "Surround" from the nVidia Control Panel which made my 2 monitors appear as one to Windows 10. That was enough to fool the game and once I set it to "Borderless Window" mode it worked like a charm. Thank you!

This. Although if you don't have identical monitors you can use some 3rd party software to force the resolution option of say 7680x1440 in game then just line it up.

Just an fyi for those looking to do the same.
