go to main directory of your game.
go into extensions file.
Delete everything EXCEPT!!!!!!
ego_dlc_split
ego_dlc_terran.
Don't go deleting your DLC now if you own them.
your documents/egosoft/X4/number/
content.xml
this file contains a list of any and all extensions and dlcs you ever downloaded.
just delete every string that is not named "ego_dlc_whatever" and re save that file.
this is maybe a very finite but also a very expensive solution... i do not recomment this.
I might just hafto do this. Reinstalled the game several times, disabled Steam Cloud, unlinked oneDrive from "My Documents", manually removed the strings from content.xml, manually deleted all files in My Documents and in Steam. Still old mods pop up in the extensions list when I reinstalled. Why is this so damn hard?
Delete all except your DLC, Unsub from the unwanted stuff on steam.
