*{SPOILER Stop reading now if you dont want to know where it is]*
That's the one in Heretics End. I think it may also be my second go at that one, as I seem to recal trying it early in the game when I claimed the sector and it didnt work then either.
Some Vaults have 2 Boxes, but that's all I have seen so far.
It's a bugger, eh? I've noticed that for some data vaults, the red panels appear to be permanently stuck, while a couple of others are 'fixed' if you exit and then boot the game again. The vaults that I'm talking about in my original post appear to be the type that are permanently stuck :/
Yeah that's kind of what I figured, I didn't necessarily expect every door to open, but as far as I'm aware ALL data vaults should contain a piece of data, which then gets added to your history timeline (that's what the Boron dude said he was interested in, just for reference). I'm not too fussed about the loot as it's usually stuff you can farm elsewhere :p But if the data is missing then that'll be an issue for completing the mission (and the achievement)!
I'd found one previously where the leaks couldn't be repaired, no sound for the data either. It was all locked up, I used the spacesuit bombs to blast the repair panels and then it allowed me to repair them one by one but opening it all up had nothing inside. I just assumed I'd already raided it previously.
Nah, the one I found at Holy Vision was definitely 100% new to me, at the time I found it I had only travelled through the highway in that sector. I jumped through an anomaly into Xenon territory and took the scenic route back, which brought me out at a jumpgate in Holy Vision - in an area of the map which was still covered in Fog of War.
Cheers for the tip regarding the spacesuit bombs, I'll be sure to give that a try next time I find some iffy panels!
