This lets you use the "Collect" option to actually collect these items.
I had one pick up some spaceflies and then get scanned by pilot and told to drop them.
There's a small chance if you release O before collecting it, it'll get slingshot out of reality.
Leaving the sector erases crates, but you can command another ship to pickup crates in an area.
heh yes they do. ^^
as for none inventory items those do go into the ship cargohold or deployable/missile storage you name it.
Fun fact some random police scans are only for show had a dozen times by now police scan a ship call it out for contraband and it did not have any to drop what so ever.
yeah and is so mindboggeling boring as is mining in EvE online.
the crystals are for X4 what the lockboxes happend to be for X:Rebirth easy money you have to search for.
in X³:AP it was exploiting the stock market.
every X had a cheesy way to make easy money.
Maybe fix broken inventory based missions, before crying over "We have a standard issue videogame inventory!"
busywork brand tiny pockets also would mean you couldn't even carry the crafting requirements for things like spacefly caviar.
Or deciding to help people out asking for 30 crystal bits, and all the other assorted vandor fodder. Which is a pain in the ass to do without hoarding them in your infinity pockets because even though you can track the exact amount of methand in realtime in a station 10 sectors away, you are not allowed to know where dust filters are being sold until you walk up to the cashier in person across enough stations to get lucky.
Is somebody threatening to take your gamer card away or something?
Irony is a lot of people who enjoy infinite pockets STILL want someplace to stash pocket inventory for later.
Storage can be QoL alongside bog standard pockets. Not just old resident evil "A lockpick made out of a paperclip takes as much space as a rocket launcher" brand "gameplay time by way of backtracking"
About the crystals and the unlimited storage you make a valid argu... what refund you sir had your chance of proper discord go back in your corner and be ashamed of yourself. :p
Anyway yes some items should actualy be regular trade Items and with some i am happy for them to be under a umbrella of weightless like someone mentioned bobby-pin and missile launcher and such but yes.
Don't get me wrong - this whole thing about inventory is only little con for me compared to pros which this game offer. I refunded not due to game condition but due to my financial condition :) - im definitely gonna buy it back till end of year. Im own every game from X series since x tension after all and x4 can't miss :)
And when we are speaking about missiles - i dont like the unlimited ammo idea. I think that limited missile / ammo rack brings more deep into the game - you can have small figthers with very limited ammo, medium sized missile frigates with much biger rack and many others ship class. But yes, maybe for that kinde of authenticity we have here ED :)
Remember the previous X games where everything other thensoftware just had to fit into the cargobay?
Those times are in the past everything is either mounted straight to an hard or softpoint and in terms of ammo the only weapon that would use ammo besides missile launcher the projectile gun has indeed unlimited ammo but missile storage is indeed limited.
missiles, drones, lasertower, etc. you name it all have a limit set by the ship hull so that's a start in the more realism not so bottemless bag department.
Besides a few obvious stragglers in the inventory item department i am ok with it having a set of 30 little tea bags taking up storage would feal wrong imho.
On the flip side adding some kind of stack limit tho could close the gap between insane and resonable what do you think?
