A mk3 Travel engine on that thing still gives you 400+ regular speed, and hits 7,000+ travel speed. While a combat engine (their downside being the smallest travel speed) on it it still faster than basically any other fighter.
The starter ship (assuming you picked argon) Elite Vanguard has the distinction of having the highest "response" stat, which seems to be "how quickly it will obey 'turn this way instead'" type reaction.
Which I guess it is why it is called an '"Interceptor" despite having a slower top speed than many fighters. It's easiest ship to keep aimed at other fighters. You won't notice the difference until you move into physically larger fighters though.
The incredibly cool Six weapon Pulsar has a response stat of 1.8, while the Elite has 5.point range. (Scouts are generally the 3.point range. Which leads to the hidden by the UI gimmick of the Quasar. It's made of balsa wood because it's a 4 gun fighter with a Scout grade response)
Tysm for your help and tips but i cant even make money yet, still have the starte ship (Elite vangaurd) and flight contolles are super wierd to me still o/
