Yellow man icon means....?

Anyone know what this yellow man icon means? I've gone there and don't see anyone who wants talking to..... This is a clip from the map screen.

Edit: It's not a mission, nor is it a marker for a faction rep of any sort.

So if you go to the Teleport Console on the ship there are no Yellow Highlighted NPC names in Engineering or the Manager's office for example? I always guessed these were NPCs I needed to drop stuff off for.
I mean I have like 30 missions in my tab so I don't pay attention much anymore...to busy running them Empire and shooting down Reds in a current HoP War.

Top right on the map is a legend button: Person of Interest.

I always thought it was a person I hired but didn’t have time to get to my ship. It pops up on stations after I’ve gone around looking for snazzy crew members. And it doesn’t happen when I take the time to verify all crew aboard before taking off. More testing is needed but ... that’s my guess.

lol, I forgot about the legends button. I guess I'll have to go figure out who it is that is of interest. I think the 'hire but forgot' idea is likely. Thanks!

for me it always was an active mission NPC. If you land there you should be able to talk to him. Unless it's delivery mission and you left sector, then you just abandon the mission.

Well, I found him. He isn't one of my hires. He's just standing, hips deep glitched into the station's landing bay doors. He doesn't respond to 'talk'. Bug. I suspect he's a passenger I dropped off, then I undocked before he had time to clear the bay. Just a guess. :)

I too been wondering about this. I knew those are persons of interest, but i dont know why are they supposed to be of interest to me. Since i can talk to them or anything. Alt least i dont know how to get missions or something from them.
