Your Ai is kinda dumb and doesn’t know your station from AI station. Just what’s cheaper.
Yeah, I noticed that I can't drop it any lower either. Seem the game is very happy to ♥♥♥♥ us in our trade practies.
jesus christ.
Also I haven't tried having multiple stations suppying each other, because I put everything from the basic resource to the end pruduct in one station, but "trading" with your own stations to supply another seems kinda odd. It's all your money in the end, so there is no profit in those trades. You make the producs and buy them from yourself. Maybe traders only buy wares, that are made by someone else. Again, I haven't tried a supply-chain on multiple stations myself, just a thought.
I was running into a lot of lag with having a large station (Player HQ) with multiple modules, so I decided to branch out so I wouldn't send the game screeching to a hault when I went into the HQ system.
In regards to the miners- they were owned by the station (set them to mine for it exclusively), and the storage wasn't full- that was the first thing I looked for. They have the demand for it, as it's a silicon processing plant.
That's what this current base I'm having issues is- just a silicon factory.
Honestly, I think letting the AI sell lower than the player is a good thing. It doesn't allow you to game the economy while still essentially breaking even, like you could in X3AP. Financial trickery now costs money.
Supply and demand! Take stations out and hoard supply! MUHAHAHA
That's exactly what you could do in X3AP. Then if you did it long enough, the game would delete competing NPC stations because they aren't moving goods fast enough. Then you have a monopoly. Do that to enough things, and suddenly there is no more NPC tech production, only a bunch of food loops. And the entire time, you'd be breaking even. Now, you're trading at a loss to force that.
As a side note i have noticed stations with only small storage sometimes have issues in my game moving goods such as engine parts as the AI seems to deem trading a few engine parts as ineffecient. The economy in the game just does not work unless stuff is getting blown up in wars constantly wich so far has not happened in my game (1.32). They do build more ships but the amount of supplies out there means within an hour everything is back to full storage and no demand again. There needs to be a constant drain on ALL rescources, not a big one but some sort of drain, say 5-10% on all storage loss per hr. Wars are just not doing enough to keep the economy from stagnating.
