Report a translation problem
Oh, thank you very much dear eMYNOCK. I now remembered, there was a report "last order could not be completed" when I was busy doing something else. This must be it...
According to Steam, so far I have put 807 hours into X4, and there are still things I don't know... WOW!!! Of course I could go back into the logbook and search for the source of the "last order..." report, but it's time consuming. In my opinion, you should:
1) Let the pop up report window open until I dismiss it by pressing F and the order I wish. For example, I may be in the middle of something impostant, say, building something, and may skip the pop up window. I can't quit the building process, go check the pop up window, and then resume the building once again, every time a pop up window (message) from one of my Captains appears! If you have a large Fleet, this could be a nightmare... Let US (the players) dismiss each window, while putting a note in the Log Book as well...
2) As the Log Book is time consuming, you guys should put a search option in it, so we don't have to scroll down page after page untill we find the correct entry. Berndt, said the Log Book and other map related info will change. I hope, the change to be practical (user friendly) and not just a nicer (more beatiful) display of information...
My problem seems to stem from two things:
1: A docking order that is in the 'critical' state, that I cannot get the pilot to execute. Nor can I delete the order manually. It just sat off the side of a paranid station for over an hour before I finally went 'what are you doing?'. I ended up flying over, boarding, and manually landing at said station to complete a trade. I still can't get it to obey a command or clear the docking order.
2: Something is causing it to wipe its 'Default Orders' condition that I set up for auto-trading. I set the order, set the wares list, set the sector, hit confirm... Ten seconds later, it resets to 'hold position'.
Scratchin' me head here. It's almost behaving as if it got kicked onto an AI scrip that does nothing but set the docking command flag, but never executes.
EDIT: Okay, just tried flying to another sector and firing the captain... And the dock order is still queued. It's stuck. I may have to flat out sell/delete the Sputtery Tater. That captain was up to four stars too...
