Ships switching blue to red and back

In my game I really like hanging around the Argon Space Dock and I am a friend of the Argons. However, there is a swarm of Argon ships right next to the station and frequently they change to red and attack me and my ships. Then, out of nowhere they switch to blue again.

Can someone explain to me why that is?

Sound like SCA/FAF pirates that uncloak to attack and then recloak. Check their names for clues like Marauder, Plunderer, Raider ect. You can scan them to uncloak them yourself.
