Is this game more user friendly than X3?
What I mean by that... if you try to play X3 and be a trader rather than do combat missions... it is very hard to figure out what you can and can't do, and what you need to do what you can't.

Is it any different in X4? Is there any more info in general in comparison?

Thanks.

I say it way easier to trade in this game then it is in X3 especially if you yourself is the trader.

The auto trader for AI can be annoying sometime but if you are the trader yourself it should be fine once you understand what goods go where.

This is the easiest X game by far.

Trading in X4, at least when you are using an NPC captain, is much easier. One reason for this is that prices are locked in ahead of time, and you can queue multiple trade actions in advance. So you can give an order chain to buy a ware and sell a ware, and the price for both is locked in advance.

I mean more along the lines of. A delivery mission to deliver 33 ore. (I know now) But It took me a bit to figure out if I could even carry it, not knowing how many units different things take, and how size class mattered. Or another example, a mission to give someone a ride, there's no indication that you need a cargo bay life support system.

The player might not be able to lock prices but they have discount advantage.
Nothing like using that 50 percent discount to then sell for 110 percent prices lol.

This game the ship are categories better then X3 so no M this or M that.
It gonna be transport - courier - miner - gas miner and stuff like that.
So ore can't be carried by transport ship but can be carried by a miner for example so yah it way easier to know what ships is for what.

There are different types of cargo that ships can carry, for instance, all usable wares are shipped in container storage. But solid resource (ore, silicon, ice) need ships with solid storage, and gases need ships with liquid storage. But there are no size restriction in terms of ware types like in X3, where some ships could carry L type wares or smaller, and others only could carry S sized wares.

To take on passenger missions, all you need is a empty space on your ship for one extra crew. So if the max crew on your fighter is 3, make sure you have 2 or fewer crew or else there will not be enough room for the passenger.
