Almost no recources in the game
I got the serious problem that I CAN'T EVEN BUILD ANYTHING in the game. no ships or station addons.
because there simply are almost NO RESOURCES ANYWHERE!!!
it's literally impossible to do almost anything in the game and that's annoying me alot!

Little edit before anybody send me the same answers over and over again:
The biggest problems are energy cells.
There are almost no energy cells and to just "produce stuff myself" I need factories don't I? what do they need for building? Right! energy cells! wich don't seem to exist anywhere for WHATEVER reason.

Like no asteroids to mine? Trying to picture my savegame without any lol. I never heard of that one. I’m assuming you already looked around with resource probes and mining ships?

At the start of the game there's many wars going on. After a while almost all wares become cheap and abundant. Are you using your own construction vessels? Fight the xenon to cause a stalemate in the war? Maybe setting up traders, etc... will help the economy? Have you passed through sectors to see what trade deals there are?

well asteroids are not giving you alot of enegrycells wich apparently exist none of in my game and I have searched almost everywhere. noone sells them or they are just always empty.

Are you using the trade filters? Have you gone/passed through a few systems to get some station info?

From the current beta but still close enough to the non beta version

There is a station in game where you can buy traders as it isnt at war with anything (well exept xenon and kha-ak, but those cant realy reach them).

Its also very easy to find and all it takes is 1 trip araund the world and over 1 gate. I wont spoil the
location tho.

OR...

You can kill some xenons and build seta --- then run it over 1 day. But then you gona lose a lot of trade money.

You can find maps too is you want to spoil a little of the exploration, or it isn't your thing.

there we got the problem.
the whole thing wouldn't be a problem if I could just make some stuff myself but it's not possible because I can't build any factories without any energy cells that apparently just don't exist ANYWHERE for me. I don't know why but they just DON'T exist.

You are such a cry-baby. Explore the sectors, there are heaps of resources, more than enough to build anything. You just need to find the sweet spots for those resources.

Energy cells are produced by each race, you'll find a station that sells them within 2-3 sectors around you wherever you are.

Also, use the trade filter, select the resource you need and zoom the map out. Chances are, you have already encountered a station that sells what you need.

I'm not sure what stations are static at the beginning, what are placed at the start and if all starts are the same. If you have not scanned any energy cel stations then I do not think they would show on a trade search. You need to find the stations selling them, or that can produce them and what is preventing trade or production because the energy cell stations are mostly self-sufficient (production modules don't need input). It could be a bug and the save would need to be sent to egosoft if there are not any stations with energy cells. All the wares that need energy cells would have production stall out without energy cell supply. Again, could be a bugged start but I don't know. If no one else has experienced such a thing then consider yourself the chosen one. Could try another gamestart to see if it is the same, having verified steam game cache and all the standard restart your computer while spinning around right-hand-rule toward the nearest pole chanting hopeful electro-gibberish.
seems to be some kind of bug then because energycell stations exist but after running the game for 6 hours straigt none get produced.

There is a phenomenon in the game, where the AI will keep ordering ships until it can no longer do so. This means that unless resources are 100% balanced, there will invariably be one resource which is build rate limiting. For many people, it is engine parts, for others it may be hull parts, for others, weapon components. It makes it appears as if there is a chronic shortage. Which there is, but that doesn't mean ships are not being built. They are, just not as fast as some players would like.

Egosoft, in their infinite wisdom, incorporated as system whereby if the shipyard cannot build the ship at the #1 position of the queue, it will bump up other ships ahead in the queue which can be constructed using the available resources. The consequences of this are, that cheap ships get built without much difficulty, while ships that take a ton of resources could take almost forever to get built.

So if you want your ship to be built, order it at the very lowest preset possible. Then, after it is built, send it to an equipment dock and get it outfitted with what you want. The equipment docks, as they are not mass producing ships, do not burn through resources nearly as fast as the shipyards, so are much more likely to have what you need to upgrade your ships, even though the shipyards may be starved for resources.

To have an energy cell shortage seems kind of odd, I've never noticed it. They are an extremely common ware, and require no resources other than time to produce. I would say if you cannot find energy cells yourself, then you have not adequately explored the galaxy. They are everywhere.

In these games it is actually normal for things to go wrong. As in, the game starts in a bad recession.

The economy is "live", where things do not just appear they have to be produced and transported and then used to produce other things, always at a price. Each ship and station does what it "sees as best". See "Cellular Automata", this design does strange things and even the devs might not always know how.

That means that all games are a bit different, and buying and selling is not as easy as in other games. But it also means the game is a lot more eventful... 8-)

As they say, explore around a bit. Even if you don't find it, by the time you finish it might have fixed it's self.

restart with the dead air gates mod. it fixes the war economy and makes the universe 4x larger as a bonus. problem solved
