What weapons for a Cerberus frigate ?
As a begineer, I have no idea what to pick.
Any advice guys ?

Generally stick to beam lasers, they do good damage and dont miss, plasma are anti capital, missiles suck at the moment other weapons are very meh.

I tested beam, but my DPS is so low ith those...

consider that the cerb has more turrets than gun ports, beams are a safe bet, plasma will cause friendly fire on a big scale, bolt repeaters could be a good idea. I dont really use the cerb (I like the nemesis more) I would ignore the tooltips ingame for weapon damage, if you think the weapons suck (which they do) go get a mod from nexusmods, there are plenty of combat reblance mods. Not to mention the fact that the cerb is a drone ship essentially, you can dock S-class ships in it.

Pulse lasers turrets and bolts or shotties on the main guns, apparently there is a attribute that gives all turrets apart from beams 2 barrels - so double damage.

Pulse has good projectile speed, bolts are generally a bit to slow unless it's a big fish.

I generally go with bolt for the the main guns and beams for the turrets. Turrets set to fire at my target for the most part. A couple of defense drones and the rest combat drones for those with a landing pad.

All plasma if the ship is designed for out of sector/low attention use. Since accuracy and heat is not factored in you want maximum DPS which is Plasma.

In sector you are better off using Nemesis or Bombers for the most part as they are a lot more agile. Otherwise go laser or pulse and rely on their defence drones.

for personal ship pulse lasers, they are easy to use and do good damage.

for AI ships nothing but beam weapons because of how their targetting works and beams can kills things in one salvo way faster than it takes another projectile to reach the target/miss the target especially if you have a lot of ships.
