Crew Management and Deliver Pilot Quest
Hi everyone, I'm an old player from the X series. I feared that this new version of the game was intuitive and simple, fortunately it is not so. It is exactly as complicated as all the serious games. I wanted to ask you, how do you manage the crew? It is difficult to find and move for example a pilot from one ship to another, without wasting hours looking for them one by one. Isn't there a complete list or the possibility of a more immediate management of the crew?

Ps.
I have an active mission, but I wonder how a player can understand what he has to do! The mission asks me to recruit 2 pilots and deliver them to a station. But nobody tells me how. The station does not have a landing pad, and there is no "Transfer pilot" dialogue option or something like "Anyone have any idea?

You may have to wait for a landing pad so you can actually land, then someone will comm you for a transfer. You can't transfer NPC to an NPC station.

There is a complete employee list under empire view and clicking where it lists your # of employees. It's all but useless though showing overall skill level and not even updating picture.

Within a ship it's fairly easy to move a crew member to pilot... promote to pilot. Across ships it's easiest if they're docked at the same location. If a captain doesn't currently exits you can move them from a ship directly to captain of the other ship. If one does you have to move them to marines or service crew first then promote to captain which does a swap. A free crew slot would need to be available first. This tends to make you fire someone you really didn't want to fire just to get a free slot.

You can also do this in space but then your dealing with pod transfers which takes time so I don't even bother.

They've also recently added a transfer crew option which is handy for bulk exchanges but again only shows overall skill level so you have to note names if you're looking for individuals with particular skills or models.

I haven't done that mission, those are way to difficult for me...lol.

Thanks Xenomorph for your reply, but how do I do with the mission? He asks me to enlist and transfer them, there is no command (or I don't see it) to do it. Currently I only have the pilot of my ship, I have tried to transfer it, but it doesn't give me any options XD

I had a similar mission. When docked at the station, click to talk to the Pilot... you might see a Transfer Crew option. It's rather intuitive... how could you possibly miss this... j/k.

I totally agree with you, some free slots maybe, where to put the crew on hold. We hope the developers read your XD message.

For the mission then I think it's a game bug, because the station that indicates me has no landing pad. What a stress! : D

Thank you WarCrime.

A station with no Dock... I guess it's possible it was destroyed...if you see a "crusty" station module than that's why. It will get repaired/replaced in time. I'd just put that on hold and check back later.

The developers envisioned another solution, they created helmet heads... firing is what they're good for or being martyred in a board pod... both work for me.
