When changing ship, it now rolls...

I tried to figure out how to turn off adaptive steering but can't find this option. I turned off autoroll as well. I liked on my first fighter that the turn was just moving the mouse to left or right and it turns instead of rolling.

I was using Elite Vanguard first then boarded a Ares and suddenly I'm rolling instead of the typical turning. When I go back to Elite, the controls are normal. Help?

Your Ares most likely has a Combat Thrusters Installed, the rolling behavior is normal in this case.

You can change the Settings for "Adaptive Steering" in the Control Settings (Settings -> Controls).

This will allow you to steer your Ship the way you are used to.
