Split Factions
So this may sound very dense for me but I've tried googling "Split Factions" to see where I can get their ships. When I googled, it was full of results that shows people being "so excited" for it. No indication of who is Split Faction or where to find their overpowered ships.

Any chance you guys can tell me who or where they are so I can nab their stuff? FInally, treat me as a noob as I've only logged 55 hours of playing this game so I'm new to this universe. :)

At the top of Steam, find the tab that says Guides. Look for this: X4 3.0 Split Vendetta Map

Once you have the map in hand, it should be easy to find your way to some Split sectors. Then just comms one of the split ships flying around and ask for directions to a shipyard/wharf.

Thank you, my good sir!

Thank you, my good sir!

No problem! Enjoy the fast engines and loads of guns.

If you really want to try something unusual, try an exceptional quality modded out Dragon Raider with 6 Tau Accelerators. I go 1300m/s flying straight without boost or travel mode and with a TEL MK2 shield and the modded out recharge rate, I can dogfight anything. Travel speed is ridiculous...

In case you aren't aware, ship mods are in the game as part of the PHQ story. I'm not talking about modifying the game.

That helps a ton.

Just a question, the map that I see, is that for any of the campaigns or I have to go into the "Spears" or "Fire" campaigns to get those?

Okay, honestly, I'm not seeing any shipyards in the first compaign that has Split Carrier (Raptor).
The Free Families one is to the bottom left of the Wharf in the same sector. Or just ask any Fr shop for directions
I haven't really scouted the other guys as I have pretty terrible relationship with them, even though I'm choosing to side with them in the quest mission

It took me about 3 evenings playing casually to get FRF from -5 to +20, to have full access to their stuff. The first evening I spent building a Split food and medical supply station for the trickle of faction through trades. Last night and tonight I was running missions for them. It goes pretty quick up to around +12 then starts slowing down. 18-20 you have to run several missions to get it to tick up. I did the build missions too, always having one build in progress while running other missions. And sometimes I'd get double patrol missions for the same sector and would just sit in that sector waiting for 20 minutes to go by in SETA while commanding ships around from the map. I used a Pegasus Vanguard for that 5800 travel speed, flying near stations and checking the journal for new missions. It works well for all missions but the ambush ones. I had a corvette standing by for that.
