Your other advice seems sound, it's just finding the time to blow up stations while also defending everywhere from K and I, I think I need more destroyers but my income isn't as great as it could be since I havn't had time to optimize it with all this other crap going on. Currently have about 4 destroyers 10 trade ships and 10 miners.
Then fly to it. It will look exactly like your build storages. In the middle will be a bunch of crates. You can shoot them and their wares will eject into space. Blow them all up, and then part a Corvette or two there to intercept any S ships that show up and blow them up before they can unload.
That will stop them from being able to (re)build any new station components, allowing you to finally put the thing out of its misery.
If you want to target the build storage, it should be located within just a few KM of the main structure. It is red and black & has some L ship docking prongs sticking off; looks the same for Xenon as it does for other factions.
Well, their solar plants have a single solar module and a single storage module, which each have very low hull points. You could just destroy the two of those, honestly before they could even launch most of their drones, and leave the nasty modules alone. Do that in a few places, and it would be a serious setback to the Xenon.
As for dealing with the Xenon on a strategic level, if you can hold a single gate for an hour, then you could begin building defense platforms right by the gates in vital border sectors.
Defense modules hold 8, 12 or 16 large turrets and for OOS combat firing arcs don't matter only raw firepower. Building a sentinel station with 3 fully armed defense modules is a lot less expensive than a single destroyer, and much better at standing up to Ks and Is.
Well thanks for the info, I guess the ultimate answer is that you can never destroy the whole station, just halt it's progress.
For the second part of the question do you guys think xenon K and i ships spawn in or do they have to have that shipyard to get created? I know at least some of them come from there because one was in progress when I blew it up. Perhaps there are 2 shipyards? but if so I havn't found the second one yet. There's definitely 2 warfs.
Thanks for the help.
I am uncertain whether or not the encounter system can teleport capital ships. My hunch is that there is either another shipyard or they might have been on patrol somewhere out of sight initially.
Disagree; I've definitely destroyed both the Shipyard and the Wharf in one of my sectors, and it's completely stopped the invasion of the Teladi space (in fact, Teladi are now taking over that cluster of Xenon sectors), so this is definitely something you can achieve.
Every faction has a build storage for construction, even you. Select the station and hit F3. Pan the camera around and you will eventually see a floating dock a little ways from the station. It's the build storage. The dock itself does not take damage, but any cargo containers can be shot. It drops the cargo into space. Prevents the station from building.
There's a chance however that some capitals sailed out into the void in their space and even with Shipyards/Warf's gone for sometime will suddenly show up making you think they were spawned. An I and 3 K's appeared in Company regards like this for me complete with a large fighter escort with not one but two defense platforms on either side of the gate at Hewa's Twin I & II. Those defense platforms are probably going to get turned into war museums now...lol.
