Most "powerful" ship in game...
Hello everyone, I have a question. I have been looking through the ships listed on the wiki, and there are a lot of them - but I can't seem to decide what to get. I mean, I know what I want, I'm just not sure which one is the one that fits the description - What I want is the most powerful ship - the one that cuts through others like a hot knife through butter. I want the ship that is capable of placing the most destructive firepower downrange, as fast as possible... I'm not looking for the fastest ship, or the toughest ship, but the one that is like a wolverine or a honey-badger - the one that is the most feared ship. I'm not interested in shield strength, or speed. Just which ship can put the most firepower onto it's single target at a time - that ship - Does anyone know which ship that is?

Someone alluded that it may be a capital ship with lots of turrets, but wasn't sure which one has the most turrets that share the same firing arc - in order to put the most firepower on a single target - someone else told me that there was a heavy fighter with 6 forward facing weapons that when fully upgraded, could pretty much chew through most any ship, even capital ships, because most of them have their weapons evenly distributed throughout their entire frames)

Does anyone know which one is the BEAST that I am looking for?

The Space Suit. It has a gatling gun you can unlock that can cut holes through ships like swiss cheese. You just fly towards your unsuspecting victim, Wind up the gatling and charge full speed ahead. Don't stop and you will come out the other side with the ship blowing up behind you. But as a BMFer you don't look back at the explosions. Unleash your inner Kyle (You) . Punch through the drywall (Ship) with your monster (Beast)

You may be asking yourself how to unlock such a thing. Well. Let me walk you through it.
You start in Argon Prime. Go to the wharf there and you will find a human named Lok. Talk to Lok and he will give you the starter quest for the item you seek. He will have you do a few tedious tasks. His final quest is to fuel his Dilo. After you do that he will send you to his manager. Captain Ice Weahnar. The captain will have you kill a few xenon until he is happy with your ability. He will then gift you a pegasus. After doing this he tells you a sad story about his mother and how he always wanted a son. He explains that - that son is you. He gives you one last mission in which the reward is too strong IMO but it is in the game. The quest series finishes in an SCA base where he kneels down and grants you his gift. The keys to the mercedes aka space ball 1. It is so fast you can go to plaid if you are brave enough. If anyone brake checks you though RIP them.

You are interested in Split ships, but from my experience to say shields aren't of interest is a mistake.

Raptor is by far the most powerful ship in terms of weaponry, 19 turret groups with each group containing up to ten turrets.

The fighter you refer to is the heavy fighter in antigone memorial, Pulsar.

Rattlesnake has a ton of frontal firepower too. 4 main batteries and quite a few large plasma turrets.

Early split ships can be glass cannons from what I get. Gigantic firepower but super easy to take down.

Then, all races are... Balanced. TEL have harder to kill, PAR are faster and more powerful, ARG is all around good... And SPLIT capitals are... Well crap, on paper they seem absolutely incredible.

I would definitely go with an ARG/PAR S or M ship
But I'm trying to invest into getting L and XL SPLIT ships for my CS.

For personal ship the Paranid Nemesis Vanguard is still arguably the best medium you can fly. 4 pulse lasers and 1 Ion cannon, can solo a K even.

Agreed with Neccarus. As for the "best ship" the only consensus you'll have around is that the Nemesis is an absolute beast. (And if you're on a budget, its not even that costly)

The concept of glass cannon/paper tiger is fine for what I am looking for - I am basically looking for the king of 1v1 - a ship that when maxed out (money is not a problem), will be able to take out any other ship in 1v1 combat.

I don't care about size - whether it's a fighter, frigate, carrier, or constructor moon, lol... I just want to plan out my "path" in the game, where to go, and what to do, in order to get it as quickly as possible.

I think Raptor right now is hands-down the "best" ship all round right now, being that it can hold and quickly deploy a fighter force that is capable of melting anything in the game, as well as supporting them on site with repair and rearm. And it can 1-v-1 an I.

Outside of the Raptor, I haven't found anything in the game, including the I, that can stand up to a swarm of fighters. But if I had to pick beyond that I would say Colossus Sentinel and/or Behemoth Sentinel. They both have turret space and placement to clear fighters. The Colossus tanks much better vs capitals but the Behemoth has the firepower to fight back. Not a fan of Teladi capitals as they just melt too often, and I don't have a lot of experience with Paranid ones.

Sub capital I like the Eclipse for dog fighting, Minotaur Raider for capping and Pegasus for moving really, really fast.

1V1 is fine for fun. Its where I have the most fun, but at the start... Well, you'll have to do alot of trading or mining.
Combat patrols brings some money, but unless you find a station that's always under attack, you'll not make as much money than you'd do with traders, and then get your fun on.

I had to buy a trader... Then very quickly I could buy a second... Then four... Then 10... Was slow and not too much fun, but now I can fly combat ships around and have fun while my traders keep on working.

For early game, definitely the Pulsar. It's really nimble and it's got teeth, but could be a bit awkward to maneuver in a dogfight.

Personally, I like my Dragon the most so far (yes, partly because of the dragon theme, don't judge me!). With 6 main guns and 2 M turrets, it's the ideal combination for my purposes, which is to melt everything in sight. Slap 6 Thermal Disintegrators on that baby, and go to town on pretty much anything. Might not have the raw damage, but you don't even need it! Forget shields, you can melt small ships and destroy surface elements on large ships in seconds thanks to the bleedthrough, and once you "declaw" a K, it's just a hunk of metal sitting in space. With 5K+ travel drive speed it's faster than some fighters, but it's acceleration and maneuverability is not the greatest, so you need to watch that break distance if you don't wanna overshoot your target or slam into a station. The Dragon might not be the "best" ship around, but it's got personality.

As for capitals, obviously the Raptor. It's just so much better than any of the other ones I'll bet my assets it's gonna get nerfed to the ground by the Fun Police (the devs).

You want firepower and speed and don't care about shielding? You want a Split ship. Start off going for the Chimera, then Dragon, then Rattlesnake, then Raptor. You'll never want to fly any other race's ships once you can teleport freely among those.

I'm currently flying around in a CAB Dragon Raider I captured (sweet mono black paintjob) as well as the tons of Rattlesnakes I capped. I basically captured every large or higher ship they fielded.

Split Raptor with 93 medium turrets and 8 large turrets and over 500k hull hp you wont find anything with as much fire power or hp except for may be a xenon i which to my knowledge is unobtainable anyway but be prepared to pay around 60 million credits for it you'll probably want to swap the split shields for paranid shields as well because split shields are lacking in hp and recharge speed

Oh... I can install tech from different races into the different ships? - In that case, assuming that money doesn't matter - what is the best tech to install?

Raptor with Flak and Plasma. An absolute beast.
