Building station turrets
I remember back in 2.0 I managed to make it work.

I just now tried to build a defense platform. The dock and defence modules were built, no problem, but when it came to turrets and shields-they weren't being built and the construction vessel kept abandoning the project.

What the hell? Is this the same bug from two years ago?

When you created you build plan, did you include turrets for all your production modules?

By default, the game does not include any. You have to manually add them or select the loadout level of all your module (new in 3.0)

If you have no blueprints for turrets, they will be left out and you will still be able to build your station.

I did. I selected the high preset and even checked to see if it added the turrets and shields.

Okay. Does it need drones then? Does funding come from station operation or construction budget?

It builds them as soon as it gets the turret parts. Those usually are in short supply and the modules usually always get built first because those are easier wares to come by. I usually manually deliver turrets with my trade ships, ends up being quicker.

You need to provide turret resource to build storage
Look at the required resource list in build plan
Advanced electronic, field coil, turret component, shield component
Those are for your turrets and shields

Oh okay. Thanks for the explanation! It appears that there really was a shortage of certain wares, as they weren't even being bought.

I have a save with an imminent HOP invasion of Argon Prime. I thought about quickly setting up a defense platform but this complicates things. :)

By the way, since you're hopefully reading this, has anyone tried playing an old (2.0) save file since Vendetta released? How does it fare?

I played with a save from 1.0 and everything is fine except Xenon push hard on TEL and PAR
I put a Star Fortress with more than 20K turret component required, it melt Xenon I in second

Ok I know this is an ancient post. but I think I figured out a solution. I am building the BUC mission base and it was stuck on not building the turrets!

What fixed it for me was adding one module, fully equipping it, then confirm changes and make sure it is starting to build. DO NOT COPY other modules or sequences!! Do them one by one and make sure they start. Also make sure that you are building the inner most connection first, like bridge then disc on the end, not the other way around

Even when you copy them and make sure they are green and snapping, it seems to not work %80 of the time.
