A Matter of Utmost Gravity (Mission) Not updating :( [SPOILER WARNING]
With the above mission I'm at the point where I'm suppose to speak with Kromancketslat's Lieutenant. His ship is highlighted, he's sitting right there; but when I try to speak with him I just get the standard: Surrender... Where can I find... or Goodbye.

There are a couple of other ships further out (not highlighted), but have a little person icon, like they might be important; but when I try to speak with them, the chat menu opens and closes, and nothing more.

I can't think what else to try.

Bugged? Or any Ideas???

Advanced Thanx!!!

I figured it out!!! You have to board the Lieutenant's vessel.

Were you able to figure out how to get to the secure clamps? Because I can't find a way.

I don't believe I did... however... I also choose NOT to blow up the structure. I saved the lifeforms inside (shooting the rings or something); but the second part I didn't want to do.

However... in trying to figure this out, I did read one thread that said something about placing two bombs, and just leaving; a cutscene would take care of the rest. This "Might" be the Clamp thing.

I also... Vaguely... recall two objects on the wall as you're leaving the Bubble Room (I guess you might call it); those may be the clamps. Place bombs there and just leave. But at this point, I'm really just guessing!!!

Some tips on the clamps part:

When you enter the monument, you see a 'locked' door ( fanblades + shield) to the right - ignore it for now and go to the left first. While you navigate through the maze you'll be opening that door. When it's unlocked, go in there and you get to the clamp part. Look around well in that room before you leave!

yeah... they don't really warn you; I was lucky, I actually went in with a boat-load of bombs. Most of which I wasted on Switches; only to find out later, my laser would have worked fine - LOL.

I unlock doors at both ends of the maze and the one down the dark tunnel. That seems to be every part of the maze, but nothing happens. There's another door from the main room with a force field which I presume should open, but not for me. What am I missing?

At some point the FAN in the first room you entered (way at the start of entering the station) should be open to you; if you haven't gone through there, that might be what you're looking for; otherwise.... sorry, it's been just long enough since I've gone through it to not quite remember everything :(.

Hope that helped!

Doh!... sorry... I just re-read your post; that FAN I mentioned is the ForceField you mentioned. But you're on the right track. There are 4 sections; it sound like you need the last one. I think (maybe).... when you first entered you go left (the ForceField is to your right); at this point the one straight ahead might be open to you now.

Again... I'm mostly guessing, and trying to remember!!!

Apologies for reviving a three month old topic, but this doesn't really need a new one. Just wanted to give the developer some quick feedback:

THE MAZE PART SUCKS!

Seriously. I got bored with "find the locks that open doors on the other side of the room" type puzzles in the early 90s, and it feels really out of place in a game like this. The data vaults are in the same ballpark, but at least those are optional and have a bit of a chill spacewalk vibe to it, so I don't mind those too much. But this maze just made me want to punch something.

Sorry, just had to get that off my chest. Really enjoying all the non-mazey parts of the game though.
