There is technically no difference between a Gate, Accelerator or Superhighway as all of them lead into an other Hex (System or Sector) on the Universe Map.
Confusion reigns here at the moment.
P.S. If it did not happen we would all be dead in the water from the start of the game rendering it unplayable.
A System is something like a Solar System as a whole.
A Sector is a defined location inside a System.
Several Sectors inside the same System are considered Super Sector "Grand Exchange, Trinity Sanctum, etc.)
Gates connect Systems.
Super Highways and Accelerator are connections from Sector to Sector inside a System.
A Sector Miner as an example has permission to operate in the whole Super Sector that's why they use Super Highways and Accelerator
A Sector Miner would not for work purposes use a Gate unless told by the Player as it is outside the (Super)-Sector.
Confused yet?
o7, Fly Safe
if you ask if they cross jumps, everybody says no.
if you ask if they cross sectors, everybody says yes.
so close and but so afar from each
