Split standing
In my current game start the Split race is -15 / red towards me. Can I somehow fix it? If so, how?

Or do I have to restart my whole game as something else? :L

There are several different Split factions. Continue looking and you will probably find someone that is neutral.

Ok, but does that somehow let me fix the standing with the one currently red towards me?

Having a negative standing with a faction is nothing new to X4, and there are several methods to work your way to a positive standing.

I believe every start begins that way with the Pirate faction and you should be able to find several threads here or on the egosoft.com forums for strategies to change your standing with them.

I don't expect changing your standing with the new Split factions should be much different.

The Zyarth faction (ZYA) are hostile to almost everybody, except the Teladi. the Free Tribes (FFL) are at -5. Except if you start as an FFL (first Split start or ZYA (the second one)

ZYA were hostile to me from the get-go.

Oh well, its GENOCIDE TIME KIDS! At least until the Boron are introduced.

Here’s, how I did it. They start -15, means you can’t dock, but they won’t attack you. Go to their stations, destroy civilian ships that appear as enemies occasionally. Each one will give you +1 rep. Get to -9, now they are neutral and you can trade/do missions to get your rep up. I’ve just done this myself. My autotraders will now do the rest.

@CaptainRAVE - Thank you :)

Yes it can and there you can hahah. For me it is too late before I know it I have with them -30 rep :) My defensive fleet and the station made a pulp of them. I got into the Scale Plate Green purification too much.

Just have to get out the gate real fast and pick off civi ships at their stations so your traders do the heavy lifting
expect some losses if your heavy trade
they at -15 they won't attack you

the -15 split faction I just sat around at their stations waiting for criminals to come out, killed 6 of them to gain 1 rep per kill to get to -9 then you can just trade or do missions with them to get the rep up like anyone else.

Easy. Fly to their sector adjacent to Xenon. Find Xenon and destroy a few ships. I was lucky to hit Xenon K. +13 rep at once.

I killed a few M's and one P in Family Zhin, and not gained any rep.
Also can't kill criminal traffic because station defences finish them at fast as their appear.

No, killing other ships doesn't gain rep in these sectors, it has to be civilian ships, but you need to be ready for them when they appear. Generally when you get to a station a civilian ship will spawn very soon.

Waited almost an hour and nailed to criminal ships outside Zyrath stations. No effect on reputation at all. Are people just trolling or did this change? Is there basically no way to change reputation with Zyrath?
