someone explain the new weapons to me

i finally got my mamba and..... im not sure which laser to get........anyone got an idea of how they shoot? im looking at thermal disintegrator and thinking plasma flamethropwers from x3 but idk, and 3 mil is a lot to splash on a gun i dont use

Its more like a weaker, but fast firing plasma cannon. I use it in combination with gatling cannons. Get as near as possible and unload on ´em.

that sounds nice, i like, what about the lance?
im thinking the tau accel is a shotgun variant and im not fond of those because of accidental bounce that gets everyone mad at me lolol

Hm, i tried the Lance only once so far and its wierd. You get only one Shot before overheating and they are not gimballed at all as it seems. So you have to aim well. Not sure about actual damage, didnt manage to hit anything lol

after trying the thermal disintegrator it is not a weaker plasma cannon but more like a sticky melter shot and it is beautiful. took out an entire xenon squad giggling the whole while.

I wish there was more info on weapons in general the Tau Accelerator looks flat out broken if you go by the Encylopedia, but i assume it has other downsides other than 3km range?

The whole Encyclopedia needs some love anyway. Most entries have just stats and no further information.

Thermal disintegrator works like a pulse / bolt weapon but does bleedthrough damage. And adds a DoT (damage over time). It's really a great weapon.

Thermal Disintegrator is excellent if you want to kill capitals (destroy their shield and components through their shield).
The Tau is the king of killing S and M ships. Lance and Gatling are garbage.

it really is though, and is still solid vs small ships. thanks on the other bits
