High velocity research

I cannot finish this mission(researcher start). The briefing says to deliver antimatter injection sensor(I have 5 in inv) but docking at the HQ does not do anything. Any ideas how to fix this?

Also I cannot access research room on station. I don't know if these problems are related.

After finishing the timed course you have to land on a ship with yours and get THAT injection sensor from the Teladi there. Then you land in the HQ and give it to the Boron

That's exactly what I did. I do not have access to the research room - it does not show up in the transport options. And landing on the platform does not trigger the quest ending.

I am in the middle of rebuilding my HQ station and have removed the original landing pad. A few new landing pads have been built though but the construction is still going on.

Your screwed mate. I did the same thing to the PHQ and removed that original dock (it is called science lab/station not a dock if you looked) you will never get the science lab back no matter what you build there. I did this in a science start in 3.0 beta 8 before the 3.0 and DLC came out.

I gave up after realising what i had done and waited until 3.0 release and the DLC, which is great fun so far.

So, how am I supposed to build my HQ then? Is it not possible to remove/replace this dock? I can still see research lab in production modules though.

You have to just l;eave it where it is and build off one of the other connection points (what i am doing currently) i have attached the venture bits to that dock/science lab and the factory modules i am putting on the PHQ on the connection point directly south of that one.

It is not the greatest place to use as a factory or HQ anyway as it has a 200 workers requirement before you build anything on it for one. I usually just throw a few SPP's on it and leave it at that.

Is this problem only relevant to scientist start? If I start another game and do the regular mission chain to get HQ am I going to run into this problem with landing pads?
