That's why it's best to you Upgrade stations as opposed to Wharfs/shipyards when upgrading your own ship but again you have to keep an eye on whether it says it's "ok" or low on materials before you start or you could find yourself waiting. (although in one of the recent updates it's suggest you can now quit the upgrade process)
If you want to know what resources are missing and you are using a Wharf or Shipyard, one way is to "buy another ship" (don't actually buy another one, but start the process of buying another one, it will show you what resources are missing)
There is one small shipyard in paranid space that can help you start pretty well.
It also has some other secrets.
You can buy trade ships there and re-supply other faction as i never seen a ship Q there.
This. This is what fixed it. That issue has been bugging me to SO long. Thanks dude!
I ordered a ship up-grade and it just sat there w/o any reason why for the delay.
I went into the ships Behavior tab and saw (1) Docked and waiting for orders (2) ship upgrade.
I don't know how the "Docked and waiting for orders" que happened, I landed the ship manually, until, the auto-dock took hold.
Finally, after deleting the "Docked and waiting for orders" que my ship started upgrading immediately, bug maybe?
That docked and waiting for orders should only happen when you remotely order your AI captain, not when you pilot the ship yourself into the auto-dock position.
That is exactly what i need, i want to know which resources i need for only that action, if it stucks. That should be implemented in the game, instead of having to work around to get any informations.
I've tried manually doing it, switching docks and stations, and even reassigning/changing the captain.
Nothing works.
Also, the turrets dont shoot on the ship for some reason. I thought it was due to the missing crew, but now I'm not sure.
