Help with finding anti matter cells

ok, i know the scientific experiment mission has been covered and i am aware of the bugs (ships blowing up etc), but, i would love to get to that part ! I cannot find anti matter cells, i can find 3 anti matter converter factories but nothing selling cells. i followed an online tutorial for this mission on you tube and the author clicks on an anti matter cell factory in grand Exchange 3, but mine is an anti matter converter factory in the same place, obviously changed since V 2.0 ? or mines bugged out ? If anyone can tell me where/how to get cells I would sure appreciate it. Thanks.

When you start a new game, factories are randomized in type and placement. Shipyard, wharfs and Equipment Docks are also randomized as to the placement just a little, but are always in the same general area.

You will need to search the sectors to find an antimatter cell factory and the only ways to do that is to travel to the sectors yourself and explore or have a subordinate go to the sectors and have them explore.

Generally, one of the first things I do is travel the entire superhighway ring. That will show you the factories that are near the highway. If you're lucky, you will find an antimatter cell factory just by doing that. Otherwise, you will need to explore further into the sectors to locate one.

Once you have traveled the ring, open the map and type antimatter cell in the filter field in the upper right of the map. Then check the sectors. The only factories that will show up will be antimatter cell factories, everything else will be invisible. Once you find the factory, travel there or send a subordinate and buy the three cells you need. Don't forget to remove the antimatter cell filter from the upper right of the map to be able to see everything once again.

There is a trick to see if in a certain sector there are some station left to explore using plot displacement. Check out what I mean in this guide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cabWuUuxJs
It might help you to find the antimatter cells factory. Anyway. when you were asked by the NPC in the quest to bring 3 antimatter cells in a new ship she also discovers for you the closest AM factory respect to the mission location. So, just check the closest sectors and you will find it already shown on the map.

Antimatter cell fabs are likely to be in tech sectors with hydrogen. If in doubt use the long range scanner to explore for stations away from the highway. In the worst case build your own production module.
