How to stop my production
Besides deleting the production module of course, Is there a way to stop production? I am just filling my storage with energy cells and they are not selling fast enough with them set at lowest price.

It will stop once the storage for them is full. Having less energy cells does not mean you can have more other stuff as each product reserves the space for them in advance.

There should be more allowed control over your production. The current mechanic makes no sense.... It cost money to produce.... No one is buying, but for some reason I can't stop production due to some automated mechanic.... nonsense. It needs to be fixed, other wise no excuse can convince a thinking person that it's a god based natural law the devs had nothing to do with.... and that's just the way it is.

You are forced to micro manage much stuff that shouldn't need it....AI problems... then the stuff you should be able to manage you can't. Makes the game more confusing than it should be. No tutorial on hiring for stations, but you see the function in the station build..... and no means to hire... You can only think the mechanic is broken....but it isn't... That is bad design when the player can't figure out some of the basics.

I just noticed this, while hovering mouse over say energy cells it does show how much and then total amount, Going over all production slots I see the same. It now makes sense, I was worried I was going to fill my storage with a one thing and not have room to produce another. Thank you for the reply.

Energy Cells do not...

Production stops when output storages are full or inputs are empty. If a production is losing money then stop buying its raw materials at high prices and stop selling the product at a low price.

There is nothing to figure out. Place habitat modules and people come automatically. If they do not immediately see this, they will eventually when people start to move in.

For those it may still concern:
You can switch a production que storage limit to halt production of a product at your leasure..
Go to the station Logical Overview tab - > Select the item you wish to limit -> Disable automatic storage allocation and ajust the slider to specify the maximum storage you wish that product to occupy. - Hint, Make it 3-4X the ammount used per hour by your station (if applicable)

I didn't read the whole thread, because I am lazy. But just to back fire on your claim, there is a check box that says something about not trading with other factions. If you un-check that, all the resources you gather are yours to use. So, it does not cost any money to produce anything at all... You just use mining ships and a self sustained factory to build the complete chain of goods...

Your welcome.
