1] Dump the Silicon into a Lockbox and collect it later when you have explored more. Then mine something you CAN sell locally
2] Go exploring for more stations until you find a buyer.
I'd go for option 1 as that is probably faster. In either case look for a buyer for Nvidium and then mine and sell that whilst you can get a buyer.

Depending on your game and what you have done some factions might only buy a small amount of ore/silicon if the wars stop. If you set up a miner to mine ore/silicon they might mine the cheaper ore.
Once you have enough money, zoom around the highway and take all the missions that have you building stations for NPC factions. Those are really easy money once you know how to build stations. You can just throw whatever they say they want into the builder, put the funds in and let an NPC ship build the whole thing for you. You can make millions while still doing other tasks.
