just toss everything you think you might need into your station plot... and click the tiny dice icon near the top right corner.
that will roll a random station out of the parts you have selected.
other than that...
you would require basic xml editing skills and a data entry from an other player.
sadly even a small plan would exceed the character limit here on steam... but here is a link to one of my default buildplans regardless.
SPP_Defence Station[drive.google.com]
just copy and paste that into your constructionplans.xml between the last two entries </plan> & </plans>
enjoy and remember to backup the file you are about to edit.
I surely didnt expect the developer to answer... thank you very much for the help i didnt know about the dice thing.
also, you guys are doing amazing work! keep it up!!
i'm just happy when i can help players to find the help they want.
Also, i tried the dice thing and it doesnt work... :( nothing happens
I could post my ACME MegaPlex station, though it needs some 50 ingame days (or whatever) to be build lol ;-)
edit: you will find screens in my profile...
also, anyone know of any website where people share their stations templates?
They are NOT YET optimised in building order and whatsnot, also while all ACME's already are self-sustaining, the final shipyards could use a few more moduls.
Though on the other hand, I've marked/set up a few easy places where you can add more modules when they are needed in YOUR game, as that can differ from playthrough to playthrough.

Included:
The phases are building on each other - though at the moment the system can't recognise this and will remove anything and building anything up again....
bummer.
For these factories you need:
- ALL ARGON blueprints (reputation 20 needed!!),
- additional: PARANID Cross 02, TELADI L-container
- Smart chips and field coils you can buy f.e from ANTIGONS or PARANIDS, reputation 20 or 10 needed respectively
Additional there are some Defense stations, though I'm still trying things out, these are just playgrounds, so don't take them as serious, besides the third one, I think that one is acceptable.
And two PHQ Bases, where the second is buildable with REPUTATION-10 ALREADY!! (though meaning NO habitats f.e.!)
This one is still heavy in development, though my last version isn't included there...

edit:
wait, I think you can't use the Defense stations, as they will include turrets from a mod, so either ignore them completely, change them in the file or use the Mod too: It's the plasma turret mod from the Workshop:

Thanks!! :)
it wasn't the three-levels of the station, as I prepared that from the beginning....
also I pre-designed the NUMBER of included factory modules in EACH Phase to be self-sustaining via an excel sheet
https://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=405718
and/or on the website
https://x4.my-promotion.at/komplexrechner/
both in german, I think this one in english could be similar good:
http://www.x4-game.com/#/station-calculator
and then built Phase after Phase increasing it the MegaPlex.
Important was to me that any Phase should be fully ACME state (= full self sustaining besides mining materials) ending with Nanotronics and then the Shipyards.
But the REAL problem then came in was with DOUBLING that factory from Phase V to VI.
The Copy/Paste tool... sadly..... sucked.
Sorry @eMYNOCK, the tool is really great as a start, though for such kind of factories it's not suited well ;-)
It will BREAK. (Even to such an extent it just freezed and I had to shut down the application!
(SO DON'T TRY TO MODIFY ;-)
Copy/Paste works only for some 40? modules.... and I had some 500...
Try to get or copy or change just ONE module inbetween that all....
you will rage quit.
;-)
Also it hasn't the most expensive blueprints/modules (Nanotronics and Shipyards) included yet, but on the other hand it's very easy to add them later (see Phase IV and Phase V) at the marked positions.
i totally understand... and though... the tool was not meant to copy that much modules and/or sequences at once.
thats why your stations are an impressive thing to look at.
i personally can't do much in that regards, its all in the hands of the guy who is responsible for engine/UI interactions.
