a mission to clear out mines will be labled as 'impossible' when you have to shoot like, 20 individual mines instead of 5-7. ("oh my god this is taking forever why" *selects and shoots at tiny mines for a solid minute*). Hardly impossible.
Then you have a 'trivial' mission to scan a station. But oops the NPCs built the station inside a green rocks radioactive death zone (somehow).
The scope of say, building station missions and supply request missions seems to be more about the financial investment you will need to put in as a player. with the rare case of a time limit hinting that yeaaaah this will be a tight squeeze.
Meanwhile, an easier seeming supply mission can edge into "feels impossible?" to "LITERALLY unwinabble as created" due to the economy model + prank missions.
Where you are told "Cure the food and med shortage for HAT in that sector"... but the only HAT stations in that sector, 2 out of 3 of the stations next to eachother MAKE food and meds so it was too full of food/meds (and making more) for them to have had any reason to make such a mission.
Oh my god. The potential is big for those missions, but you gotta essentially have a full powered satelite network up and running to pre-check "Could this mission even be accomplished if I had a cargo hold full of everything I need right this second?"
