I am honestly curious about the difference between tracking and heat seeking myself. See also: Smart missiles.
All we get displayed by the game info wise. Is that heat seeking costs more than the basic tracking type, and has sligtly better range/damage/speed/manuver numbers.
Meanwhile. SMART missiles cost WAY more. and are... overall worse than the cheap tracking missiles. At least according to the only visible statistics we have.
Swarm missiles at least are obvious in their design difference.
