How to Create a new wing

So I can tell a ship I own to join my squad, and it gives me "Wing 1". However, I don't see how to create another wing/squad. Ideas? Thanks.

You click on a ship you want while on the map, then right click on a ship want leader of the wing and pick protect. They form into a wing.
