[Megathread] How to build a Empire
Here Vet could give us advice to how build the best economic empire and maybe when we will have the shipyard and wharf RULE ALL THE SECTOR but first Money, in my hand i have one recon ship , 2 M mining ship and 1 M ( i am in charge of this one ) cerberus fit for doing combat mission so my first question is

should i continue building more M mining ship until i can buy a constructor and build my first station ?

I suspect once the crystal mining and nvidium mining to easy cash is looked into and dealt with, it would probably end up something like this on a new start:

1. With your starter ship, do a few easy missions and get at least a million credits, then move up to an M sized freighter for 500k. (Make sure to strip down your starter ship of equipment, sell that and then the ship)

2. Scout out the trade station in pious mists and then head out to any teledi system at least several gates out that have reasonably good access to the gate highway. Ianimus Zura for example, if there is a spaceweed station there, start trading otherwise head to company regard and search for one there and trade. sell the weed at the pious mists trading station.

3. Once you got at least 5 million credits, buy a number of mining ships with mining lasers and the cheapest equipment you can and send them off to mine silicon or harvest methene.

4. After making at least 20 million, head to a faction rep, buy the hull parts facility and all the requirements needed for that, find a plot of land in empty space and set your measurements and confirm it. From there build your station starting with the docks and then working your way backwards, starting with the hull parts module to the last module production module, most probably solar panel arrays for energy cells.

5. Once your got at least 60 million, start building on that by going to the faction rep and getting claytronics and the facilities for that. rinse and repeat step 4 in station building.

6. From there expand on the facilities and watch the profitsss roll in.

7. Whatever you wish to do from there on? whatever you wish to. :P

1. buy game
2. play game
3.
4. profit

im sure there are many paths to do this. money is likely the easiest path.

i just want to exist in the world and maybe swing a war or two in the opposite direction. taking over really isnt my goal at all. im more interested to see how the AI does its thing in the face of overwhelming odds or when it has overwhelming force at its disposal.

In X4 you wont see guides on how to win at profit. The "downside" of a dynamic universe and economy, paired with expanding factions is tat everyone's game will be different and though there might be general rules details will be different so for example, in my game there is no real need for Silicon atm and in a LP I'm watchingn the NPC are in dire need.

Manaul mining for those inventory crystals is sure a good way to boost the start cash influx, but for real trade it will be needed to explore the sectors and see what is required.

Trade and mine, For example my current setup is.
HQ making wafers energy cells and microchips
Miner for HQ mining silicone
Two traders taking care of getting microchips and any excess sold
Then for other ships I have
5M miners mining silicone
2M miners mining nvidium
1L miner mining nvidum and silicone
1L freighter trading wafers and microchips
1M trader trading microchips
1M trader just doing galaxy trading

This usually gets me around I would say 10mil and hour if maybe a bit less. and crystals are a good way to get quick easy couple mil.

While I will definately give way to anything you say I have noticed while I have been playing either X3 or this you can manipulate the economy to your own ends fairly easy :D

Make about 2 million credits and buy a medium turret blueprint from the Argon faction rep.
Make sure you've put satellites on as many stations as you can.
Sit on the highway flying around the sectors checking missions as they pop up until you see a station building one.
Fly where guidance tells you, buy the plot, and hit Plan Build.

The station will need X amount of turrets and X amount of cargo storage, each small cargo storage module can hold 6 turrets and has 25k storage, you don't even need shields. Slap a dock down, and attach cargo storage modules to it, editing the loadout and add turrets until you reach the required amount for the mission.

Most want 5 turrets and 10k storage, some want more, it doesn't need to be pretty something like this https://i.imgur.com/C9wN4jd.png, hire a builder for 50k and wait until it's finished. It'll take some time so find something to do unless you have SETA.

You can edit the global price modifier, but it's only as the economy crashes into the floor that I find I can set it to 0% and get everything reserved quickly (by this time you're rich anyway).

Easy money.

Edit: If it wasn't obvious you do these missions over and over again as they pop up until you get bored, usually they give you about 6 million credits with construction costing about 1.5~ million leaving a nice chunk of profit for basically no work (you can even save the loadout and just load it every time simply copying the cargo module if you need more storage/turrets).

I'd love them to actually make these missions sensible, having a floating cargo container with guns on it in space and being paid to not only build this useless thing but also get to keep it makes no sense to me. I was hoping they'd ask for stuff like in X3 where they wanted a solar power plant, or some bofu or something but nope, just a box with guns on it.

Indeed, but my point was that, MY manipulation mostlikely will be different then yours, which makes it hard to give more detailed strategies, while general tips wil probably fit any scenario, they will need to be broad enough to allow adjustements to fit the currect scenario.

1. Start game
2. complete 2-3 missions(lockbox and repair missions are easiest IMO)
3. buy a M sized mining ship, set it to auto mine anything it comes across in any sector
4. Repeat steps 1-3(buying both types of mining ships as well as traders) until you are able to buy 1 or 2 L sized ships and set those to auto mine/trade as well. At this point you will be raking in the profits.

Though I have to mention that the first thing I did in this game was acquire a SETA drive, so I might have been a bit lucky in my success.

And never build complex with more than 55 production modules (crash stationsettings when try to enter, 1fps at information on map around 40 prod). Create super huge self produce factorys? Not atm XD
Do you think creating a Huge storage station close to the HQ ( because that where i am going to create wharf and shipyard ) is a good idea ?
Xautos Dec 11, 2018 @ 9:58am
Player shipyards won't come until 2.0. For now? building production mega stations is your best bet until Jan/Feb '19 when 2.0 is expected.

that why i am preparing my self to have first a huge econimic empire and after building warship to take some neutral sector by whiping out every pirate in the sector

So there will be a fix for the actual Problem. I can send the Plan of the factory, even unbuilt clicking in overview Freezers and close map. Take some prod modular away, then it will Open logic view normaly.
