What Ships (and loadout) are you using to attack stations?
Some stations fall easily and other are impossible. I'm attacking an SCA station, not ship yards or warfs, just NPC created stations. I have a fully equiped fleet including a Carrier, 2x destroyers, 2 cerebus frigates, 10 Nemesis corvettes (with plasma canon not torpedos) and about 16 fighters. I've watched the hull fall as low as 16% and then jump back to 65% or more. 6 hours and still no joy. I'm a bit discouraged.

They repair? Dang and fast too ... sounds like bug to me if health is auto filling. Or you aren’t supposed to be able to destroy. I dunno. I know shipyards are invincible tho.

I haven't gotten to attacking stations yet, but missles are very op, so maybe try bringing a bunch of missle fit ships and rotate them out to restock as they get low on ammo.

I did this for the first two hours. The problem is the AI doesnt fire torpedos in vollies and even then shoots them sporadically. The corvettes spend most of the time strafing the station with their primary font guns (typically a beam or pulse laser). so I would teleport between them and fire a volly and move to the next ship but damn that is too much work. I must have dumped 10 million in reloads beffore I decided this was not a good plan.

You might have just selected a different module, I have killed a xenon defense stations dock but it has more modules and my ships were still only shooting at the empty gap where it was so I ended up leaving.

Also I used 90 mk2 laser turrets, L odysseus and 2 M corvettes with pulse loadouts.

Is there a way to select individual modules from the map or do I have to selct them in pilot mode? When I select a station I only get a single target in the middle of the station.

I just started messing with this before getting the flu but I figured out that destroyers can melt station weaponry and almost overcome the initial hull regen by itself with just its forward batteries. Beam turrets worked reasonbly well to keep the fighters at bay. Next attempt I'll try 2 destroyers and see how far they can make it. I would do like was suggested above though and destroy all modules before setting in on the main base module.

I have managed to select different modules in pilot mode but it seems like a random occurence and you can't "target" them and tell your ships to attack specifically as the only target avaliable is the station as a whole, I think Egosoft are missing some elements when it comes to killing stations.

For example I dropped 90 laser towers and they killed the dock module but then never swapped targets so were shooting empty space.

Apparently Stations are immortal right now, go on egosoft forum their is a thread about it, people have used big fleets to try and destroy Xenon stations and it appears that most of them are immortal.

I see a lot of folks in here that use destroyers. My Behemoth is doing the thing where the turret controls don't appear at the top of the screen under the menu dropdown. That actually kind of makes sense, as many of them as there are, but does anyone know how one actually does control the turrets on a destroyer? Or am I just running into another darn bug?

i usually attack with around 100 ships only 30 or so are destroyers and bigger and i only have 5 carriers in my fleet its a madhouse once the fighting starts

Unless you're using a major weapons mod or a super-expensive full missile loadout, you might as well stick to corvettes and smaller. Capital ship weapons, and all turrets, are much, much weaker than even S-class weapons in the vanilla game. Except missiles.

i do use the weapon buff mods off the nexus for L turrets it atleast brings them up to par enough to fight with

I had to tweak them myself. Not just L turrets--I tweaked all turrets to be as powerful as the fixed weapon class beneath them (yes, there's a mod that did that, but it overlapped with the shield rebalance no-delay mod, so I used that one and tweaked it.) They're still too weak though, I think I'm going to leave my M turrets alone--can't have the turrets on my 'vettes be as powerful as the main guns--but I'll buff the L-class turrets up to a bit MORE powerful than equivalent M-class guns.
