illegal goods buying and selling ?

in x3 you sell illegal goods to pirates stations

how does illegal goods work in x4 played little got some not sure if i can off load it any where or to pirate stations ?

x3 also had goods that you could buy from one race to take to system with pirate base where its illegal at and sell it there for a bigger profit ?

I just curies how buying and selling in x4 for smuggled goods works where black market is ?

in so far for me only certain places will buy the illegal goods, you run the risk of being scan by police but the payoff is really good.

Not all goods are illegal everywhere.

I’ve made lots of profit shipping spacefuel from HAT space to the Paranid Trade stations in Holy Vision and Pious Mists in the biggest, slowest, M trader money can buy.

Once the ship is on the highway, they’re home free and space fuel is only illegal in Argon or Antigone space.

Lucky you! I tried to set up a few traders to sell err, "controversial" stuff. But checking out the market, the buy/sell price difference for spaceweed was 2cr and 1cr for maja dust. The only profitable illegal ware was spacefuel. With a profit of about 90cr per unit.

All this with over 100 stations monitored by satellite.

IMHO trading is TERRIBLE in this game. It needs some serious fixing. :(

I’m buying space weed for 123c and selling it for 351c. Spacefuel can be bought for 74c in ANT space were I have to dodge the police or for 86c in HAT space where I don’t and sells between 186 and 201 to the Paranid (it fluctuates).

The thing I can’t make any money off is Maja Dust. It literally loses me money. It sells for more than anyone, anywhere, will buy it.

No, stations only buy certain things still. The only stations I've found that will buy wares that are illegal somewhere - meaning Maja Dust, Spacefuel, and Spaceweed - are the trade stations like those found in only a few sectors.

There's pirate free ports in pirate sectors and apparently black markets if you want to buy/sell illegal player inventory items.

I just slapped a all 3 factory in HAT sector right next to the HAT trade station. Got 2 Majidust in Argon Territory. Another all 3 in one of my owned sectors. They make me lots of Profitsss.

Black markets seem to be bars available through the elevator/transpoter system on stations. Like going to the engineering section on a station. They are quitte buggy currently and become available "sometimes" during lucratve oppurtunity missions. It a bugged misson and maybe 2/3 of the time the bar disappears making the miission incompletable. Free ports are stations where you can sell pretty much everything except the ~160k security decryption systems and slicers.
