Important player base tips.
To line up the some of the modules, the module has to first be dropped then turned, then picked up again to fit into place.

I noticed this was a problem in other players bases in screens and youtube video not knowing this. I was disgusted before i figured this out and actually logged off because i knew i was missing something even if it seemed broken.

Anyway, knowing this makes base building actualy doable.

And now for the player base important tip.

-Choose the side where the player will be approahcing the base to put the dock for ease of access and things. Then put it up higher so its easier to get to, to dock.

The first screens shows the gate in the back ground and that the dock is on the closest side. Close to the other gates to.

Putting other docks on the same joiner piece is an option later.

Start by adding a joiner piece to the station first.

More importantly; how do i flip modules...
I can rotate just fine but paranid storage is pointed downwards by default with only 1 connection point... i just want to flip it.

I dont know. :) Try place it somewhere else, then rotating it, then moving it into place. This works for some placement.

By the way how do the Paranid player docks look? Got a screen? There are already two kinds to choose from i know of and wondering if there is a third or what ever.

I will add to this and tell how I build stuff. Might be repeat of some, but might have some good info too.

First off, buy a plot. Next find the plot on your map and right click and select the plan build option.

Then I like to put downt the large dock module that the biggest ships can dock at down first since it is hard to put it on later.

Once you select a module, click it down into the plot area you have. Do not forget that you have to have a module selected to mess with it. So if you want to move something make sure it is selected or it will not let you move or rotate it.

In order to rotate and move stuff around you need to have the module selected. Just click on the 3d model of the module after you place it down to select it and you can MOVE it around with left click and if you hold right click it over top of it, you can ROTATE the module around.

If you turn the camera to a top down view, you will move the selected module on the horizontal plane, if you turn the camera to a side view, you can move the module on a vertical plane.

The build info will show up on the right side of the screen as you place stuff. Some modules have the ability to add shields and turrets, as an example, the storage units let you select these. To pick what you want, look for the little pencil looking icon immediately to the right of the name of the module in the top right on the build plan screen. If you click the tiny square it will let you select the shields and turrets.

Make sure you confirm changes when you are done or nothing will happen.

Make sure to do the build tuturial if you have not, and it will fill you on the basic info. Guild reps and scanning stations are where you get the station modules. If I think of more I will add later.

i dont think you can flip, only rotate them...and yes, some production modules can be only attach from the bottom, you need to figure how to make your station structure to make them fit

Buy the blueprint for the 1 dock pier and dont use the 3 dock. It is smaller and blocks only 1 direction and is easier to place..

Yup. Only S and M ships can dock on landing pads. L / XL need a pier (the hige structure with the long pointy end).

Also dont forget to add credits to the base so that it can buy the materials that it needs to be built from passing trade vessels. I didnt know this at first either.

You can also rotate connected joints to connect one station to HQ ports with different angles, or just to add visual variety.
