Indestructible stations
Anybody tried to attack a xenon defence stations? These things are freaking invulnerable.
Besides it's legion of defence drones and turrets, the thing itself regenerates hull HP during battle and does that so fast - it's nearly impossible to do sustainable damage output to beat it.
I tried everything. From a fighter legion of my own:

To bombers with heavy torpedoes
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1586788136

And also tried a dreadnaught:

3 bombers loaded with heavy torpedoes can scrape off 5% of DP's hull until they're out of ammo and DP just regenerates that back when bombers are reloaded.

Hypotethycally, 60 bombers can blow it up, but i don't have that much money, even when i'm trading spaceweed all day.

I'd propose to make stations stop regenerating their hull while in battle, but it seems that devs have enough on their plate as it is.

The Teladi are up North pounding on a Xenon defense station with what was one and now is 4 destroyers, and countless smaller ships. They don't seem to make much progress but if I go up with a Nemesis and start pounding on it with them it will lose hull pretty quickly. I took it from 79% to 60% with them supporting fire within a couple minutes, then left because I kinda don't want the Xenon to completely disappear.

must be plot or keep xexon under control forever to keep game fun in long term so they won't want hear when people keep said there is no enemie because people destoryed all enemies early. I guess it's spwan point.

Yeah, DP's are the only thing that's left of xenon in my game too.

I wonder all factions this this plot station that can't destory, Come to think of it, I thought it's make sence make plot on shipyard and wranf only ensure they won't disapear, not on defence stations.
Do defence station had chance to spwan builder to build shipyard and warf from there? rebuild?

A rather interesting find to say the least. I suspect much more testing will be required, or an official responce from egosoft. In the mean time we can at least enjoy the fact that we will always have xenon to fight.

Edit: I'm sure this applies to all factions. Unless there is some plot lock/ unlock driving the behavior.

In another thread about the same (yesterday) I posted my Xenon Defense Action and people was seeming to be fine with it...

4h of shooting with 3 Paranid (NPC) Destroyer, My Argon Bahamut and my Paranid Nemesis (with Plasma Turrets) and we had it down to 62% and I personally killed around 2k Drones and had an inventory packed with Xenon Drops of all kind.

There was NO fightback of the Xenons... they simply did not care. At this rate (there as at least ONE more of these Stations in the same sector, I guess there might be 2 more) we will need around 32h to clean up one Sector... so fight of the Xenons will take around 100+ hours... same for the Kha'ahk or how they are named... so 200+ hours Gametime saved - successfull game!

I parked by one to farm the repair drones. I've noticed that you may have to position ships so that they accidently hit repair drones as they spawn or the hull just keeps getting fixed. A drone swarm to counter might help.

Tried to park my Bahamut and an additional Cerberus with Shotgun Turrets close to the Drone-Docks but the Crew does not care for Drones... they just chill and enjoy the show. Not even fire at the Station until I tell them to... and than they start to cruise around sometimes even drop by to 10km range and speed back in with Shieldboosts to RAM the damn thing... useless AI in Station fights.

Use bombers with torpedo launchers, take them about 20km, and have them shoot the facility at 16km, they stick around that range too without closing in. Sometimes anyway.

Might want to use torps instead of energy weapons for hulls as well.

The stations with the shields are sector claim modules. The faction with the most of them deployed in a sector retains control over it. You just need an admin center with a docking module and you get a +1 to sector claiming.
