Report a translation problem
There won't be full-blown MP but there is a multi-player interactive feature in the game called venture modules, including achivements to go with them which can't be legitimately had yet. If you mod the game and unlock the venture module it has a display which states "not available on modded saves", again whether that is in reference to simple file tweaks I don't know 100%.
Might as well give yourself infinite credits and invincibility and be done with it. :S
What I found was scan points dotted around the ship in question, as like you get with stations for blueprints. However as I did not have the resarch part unlocked on my test save, I could not tell if one would get any blueprint from that.
My thoughts on EMP was how they work IRL, knock out electronics and so forth. I thought that they may disable the ships components for a while to allow the marines to board. However it did not effect the difficulty of the marines. It still insisted to destroy the turrets. That is why I wanted a load of EMPs
