Anyone else keeps the game running while they sleep?

With four M size miners working it's nice to wake up to a nice tidy profit. Is anyone else doing this, letting the game run while they sleep?

Tip: Do not be in ship that is flying around, sooner or later game will crash. Best to be on a station, and then send your ships on their merry ways.

I allways do it since X2 because i like to have it somehow like reallife where things can happen during the night and i have to react to it in the next morning.
Sadly nothing happens yet in X4 because of the lack of enemies, but i´m pretty sure devs will fix it in some patches so more pirates appear and sometimes attack your freighters and they don´t have a chance to flee but get destroyed.... or khaak invade your sector as soon it gets too wealthy.

if i considered this, i would instead just edit myself credits and save real $$$ on power/noise etc by turning computer off.

im doing it too ^^. 3 miners and 2 traders are working for me xD going with 300K sleeping and waking up with 2890K up :-D! lucky me !

I do this, but it has stalled my economy to the point where i can't complete delivery quests because everyone is fully stocked :( So no more story (arg vs xeon) progression.

Yeah i use SETA while afk a few times, lately ive been sitting outside my PHQ ship technology factory in a corvette with SETA enabled. Im saving up for another factory complex in Second Contact,i get about 500k - 1 mil every 5 mins or so depending on demand which aint bad. Im getting no attacks or contriband scans by anything. The only issue i face is crazy lag from all the floating asteroid loot once my miners have been doing their thing overnight :)

Oh, bummer. Did you already completed the HQ quest? I barely started building, so maybe I'm not as affected as much.

I used to do this, while @ work or @ college, plop on seta and come back to a nice suprise. Death or billlions of credits.

Why not cheat in money you say? Felt like my empire was achieving something. lifes simple joys.

eh? No, I had been crystal faming like 7 hours and only make 2 million, only because I don't see any white rock but only blue and purple are common. Yellow rare, one time I found orange/red, white I had never found.

I did this to construct my huge station, one night in SETA by my station, I must have gotten attacked because I was at the main menu screen the next morning lmao.

How is farming a resource presented by the game a cheat? At least I put my own time into it, unlike the "leave the pc on for 8 hours and go do something else".

Go to Argon Prime its full with that stuff. I agree you find the white owns not as much, but after a short while i'll have a lot of yellow and blue. Also... you have to fly realy close to the rock and use the sucky-device on your ship because most of the crystal will explode into the roid and you have to suck them out again. I haven't counted but you can nearly get double the amount of purple crystals out of one spot.

Usually i got up to 12 purple crystal from one spot and from the yellow / blue maybe 8.
