How do i see how much a trader is making?

I've had a trader working sector trading for three days and although he seems busy, he's not levelling at all. Is there any place I can see how much money he's making?

It's worse.

You need to have a calculator, AND it won't even let you do that much unless the sale was made someplace you have sattelite coverage or otherwise access to remote statistics. In which case it won't list ANY money involved.

I miss that too. as i remember X3 had this overview, now you don´t know how much profit or loss he generates :-(

But, but, but... Didn't X3 have a means of querying a trader to see his stats? I'm almost sure one could get stats for Universal Traders and Station Traders.

In Rebirth it took a while before they added that level of trade statistics, but they did add graphs with filters and sorting features eventually.

All you can do is look at the Logbook history in Character Info and tally it up. They don't have individual ship records in the future.

With any luck the code just needs a few tweaks to get it X4 ready then. I guess it's fair enough that bugs take priority at this stage.

My 2nd favorite mod for X3 was the trader log[forum.egosoft.com] (it's rehosted in that thread). The trader log created a table for you, which helped easily make graphs. It created a row for each trade, showing what was traded, which trader, which pilot, their rank, how much that trader cost you to date, how much that trader made you to date, the total profit to date, the total profit for that one order. It told you why the trader was 'waiting' for a long time, usually upgrading the ship or taking a class, if it upgraded - how much that cost and what it bought.

It was awesome, but didn't work in Linux.

haven´t played X4 with a mod atm and there are already many available on nexus mods.

ive found a trading mod "Player Tradeship Buy Notifications". as i can see it tells you which merchant bought something, the amount and the price of it. think its worth a try.

I started to using a mod from nexus, this one : https://www.nexusmods.com/x4foundations/mods/26 you get a notification when a autotrader buys something, ex. "trader bought silicon wafers for 15.000" , then after a while when its sold you get another message "trader sold wafers for 18.000" (just an example) . though not really a LOT of info, but a little more than the vanilla game atm. (for me)
