Repair Drones and repairing in general/Upgrading

So, from what i can gather, i they don't work. If i want to repair a bunch of light ships say, about 20, i have to select them all, right click on the station upgrade/repair, and then add to shipping basket, only to be returned to the map.

So i have to do that for each individual ship? Same for upgrading, you can't just set them to a standard, and have the station bill you for them all, you have to do it individually? Also, how do i get repair drones to work?

I hope repair drones can help. I had them help me out when mines blew out my engines and I could no longer fly. No hull repair near as I can tell. I think. So there is that.

repair drones only work on capital ships and even then only up to a certain %

Service crew on each ship should be able to repair the ships up to x% based on their skill. Repair drones work for the ship they are on. However if you move the ship the repair drones are lost. Ships docked on other ships aren't repaired by the ship they are docked on as far as I can tell.

Ok my drones just repaired my engines that got blow out by mines, really need a mine sweeper ship..
