How to activate Autopilot
Simple as title, I target something, press shift+A, and nothing happens.

autopilot is buggy it doesn't work half the time I don't recommend using it instead have one of your npc's command the ship

also make sure the NPC has three stars before a command your ship if it doesn't you don't want to be on the ship with it it will crash you and kill you

and also get the docking computer software Mark 2 less likely you're going to crash when you're NPCs dock

Has anyone else been able to figure this out? I have a route (guidance) planned, but when I shift+A it just keeps saying "autopilot disengaged" over and over again. It never seems to turn on. The same goes for when I use the Enter key menu.

if it disengages there is no applicable route for the computer... try ordering a Pilot to fly were you need to be.

*cough* uhh.. theres a lot of dust in here... and cobwebs... *cough*

;)

Anybody else has the problem that the autopilot in the new campaign likes to fly into stations / objects and stuff like that and gets stuck ?... or goes into light speed whirlwind mode when passing an accelerator ?

Yeah it turned out that the issue was a route between 2 of the sectors. I did a guidance to just the next sector and after that completed I was able to plan my multi-sector guidance and autopilot turned on fine.
