Got a mission to deliver foodstuffs in a sector, but no stations will buy it

Am I supposd to "deliver" the goods by trading/selling to stations? Or does it not have anything to do with trade and I just sort of deliver the items somewhere?

I did it by selling. The faction needed 1800 food rations and 1800 medical supplies. I've fulfilled 213 of the 1800 food rations by selling to the station. The problem isn't so much how much I can carry, it's how many the stations will buy. 100 here, 200 there, 3 here (on the 3 delivery now). I'll be dead (in real life) before I finish this mission.

Exactly, that's what I've found. The mission claim the stations need these items, but turns out, he's a liar.

Maybe there's a way to eject the medical spplies/food from the stations, via hacking? Then, they will have need of those items.

After you sell to all the available orders, try to update station info, look for other stations, and/or wait a bit and resell to the same stations again. Also be careful if there are two factions in a system and you incidentally sell to the other faction not covered by the mission.

Start blowing up some ships or a station or something. They'll need materials to rebuild and demand will go up.

Just wait a bit, do something else in the meantime and then come back to the sector.

I had not enough buy-orders for all requested wares. They wanted around 1000 in the mission, but there were only ~80 buy-orders. After I finished 2-3 other missions, I returned to the sector and the system had over 100k+ buy-orders suddenly.

I had a very similar problem. Manually, painstakingly, sold 1500 medical and 1500 Soja husks to stations in the area.

The medical part finished. The Soja husks say I only did 47/1500. Which is an absolutely flat out lie. I sold all the items in the same stations. Medical applied but Soja didn’t.

Some of these just won’t work I’m afraid. I took one more to see if I could get it accomplished .... I just set auto readers to “import wares” to the sector next. Could be a passive way to do them, albeit extremely slowly.

Sell the stuff to stations just be sure it's the right faction since some areas have more than one faction group.

I delivered the food and medical supplies but what are the "Foodstuffs" the mission requests?
The mission won't finish, it asks for specifically "Foodstuffs". ...
