Check to see. I accidentally bought an M gas miner, which hardly makes any profit hauling Methane. However it has stumbled upon an abandoned gunship, so I guess the investment paid off. :D
Incarcatura is to slow imho. I use the Sonra for my Autotrading because the cargospace is more than enough for the demand of the stations. thats why the Shuyaku is a little overkill.
I did some personal Spacetrucking runs with Shuyaku, but to be honest all the L freighters are better when you command them remotely.
Not standing at the Bridge next to the captain either, that caused bugs an once a completely stuck freighter i had to sell. (not stuck on geometry but couldn´t command or steer it anymore)
Best to be somewhere else. Doesn´t have to be OOS (out of system) but out of sight is recommended. AI works much better then.
On top of that, the turrets i paid for does not work at all, there is no way to command or control them, they do not fire and i ended up losing the trade i just bought for almost 7M.. I did reload a save, but i am starting to regret buying the game at this point..
You need crew to actually have the turrets fire for one thing, another is flying the ship manually you need to configure them to shoot using the icons at the top of your screen and finally they can't hit anything usually from my experience so just use a wing of S/M size escorts if you need protection for them in my opinion.
I would have been furious if I burned ingame credits that took hours to get, just because of mechanics not working or not explained at all.
However, I am sure when this game has seen enough patches it will be glorious. To be honest I expected even worse for this release.
Anyway, I was hyped for month and yes, it is a little frustrating to endure. I guess Egosoft had not much choice...Release now or financial ruin.
Besides...there is no other game out there that cures my "personal space sandbox itch"...and X4 will do so...in a couple of weeks...or *cough...months ;)
Imagine CDPR making an X style game....that would be the holy grail for me :D
