Is there a way to add a prebuilt plan to an already built station?
I planned out a self sustained food ration / medical supply setup in an empty plot for ease of layout, saved it and then planned to add it to my HQ. Alas, when I load plan in the HQ plot it erases the hq plot and puts the food/med layout in its place. I want to plop the food/med layout down and attatch it to my HQ.

Anyone know a way to do so, or is the load plan system only for starting a new station? ty

I haven't tried and won't be able until Friday, but you could do the test for me,

open your hq, select the preset you want to add, right click on it, and copy the whole selection, then just hit the undo key to bring the main station back, erasing the preset, and then paste.

To copy an entire section you need to find the very first module you placed. RMB & copy sequence. Basically the build stores the order in which you placed modules and selecting any piece highlights all the linked pieces you placed after it.

It's a good tip if it works. It might freak because the copied sections are no longer in the build plan or it might work. I would be interested to know. If I try to copy something on my pc but move or remove the source file it wont work so I wonder if this is the same.

I figured it could work, as long as you don't close the editing window to open another. Just, as I'm not home, I cannot test that theory for myself.

I would like to Confirm that, if you load your preset, select the first piece of your preset (to select the whole thing) then copy selection, you can press CTRL+Z to revert your changes while keeping your preset copied selection selected and just need to paste over your HQ/station that you want to improve.
