So, I finally obtained/trained an marine with 2 boarding and 2 moral. I fly to the destination station but can't figure out how to deliver the marine. Any help folks?

Info Tab for the ship..drill down to the Crew/Marines and Right Click to Comm the Marine. Tell him to Work Some Where Else and select the Station.

Thanks BellatorMonk. Ok, somehow I'm still missing something.
I'm docked at the station. The marine is on my ship with better than the target stats.
"Info tab for the ship.." - check
Ship Information screen- "drill down to marine" - check
"Comm the marine. Tell him to "work some where else..." - check
"...and select the Station" - not happening..

When I select "Work somewhere else" and get the "Transfer Staff" screen, the only tab that's active is the "Property Owned" tab. I can click any of my own stations/ships fine, but there are no NPC stations listings that I can get to.
Also, I can click the Station Icon on the background map but can't get a menu from it.
I've tried the above both on and off the ship. I've saved and reloaded the game from scratch, still no dice.
<sigh>

There are so many broken or unclear missions in this game it is mind boggling.

Ok this took me all day and was quite frustrating, but sadly its super simple. First off I knew I needed nothing but hte most mediocre marines as the mission told me they had to be trained to a half star on boarding and morale (the ones I bought with a a new ship were trained as such). But nothing I did would complete the mission, I even went out and bought two veteran marines that cost me about 200k and would have made the mission a total loss if I gave them over for the measly reward I was offered, but still nothing would complete the mission.

Here is the key, dock at the station that wants the marines. Go to the Information section of the ship with the marines and click the crew tab. Right click the marines you want to transfer and choose Comm to talk to them. You will see an option to transfer the marine. That's it super simple but so not even close to intuitive.

So, I followed the advice from this thread (Even if I think the method is really stupid).
I managed to tell 2 hired marines to work at "Marines needed" , and they definitely had the required stats.... but it still did not count....

I just lost 2 hired crew for nothing...

Egosoft, please please make this better, this is really really stupid.

For now I will totally stay away from this type of missions as I do not trust their functionality.

I was stuck too. I tried all kinds of things.
At the end of the day my solution was: Add the crew to my own ship. Dock at destination Station. Get out of the captains chair. Comm the crew and pick the 'transfer crew'

I don't know how many of these steps are actually needed, but just having one of my ships trying to deliver the crew didn't work - maybe if I'd comm'd the crew individually it would've, but it didn't work by selecting the ship with the crew and using the 'transfer crew with' context menu option of the station.

It is broken but I managed to do it just by talking to the marine personally. Well, this is also kind of tricky, because how can you talk to marines if they are not on the bridge? So I have to promote them to become a pilot one by one and then when they walked out from the elevator, I spoke to them and send them away. Note that you can't remotely 'comm' them because this particular dialogue option will not show up. May be easier if you are on a L or XL ship for the mission. That is how I did it on M and S ships.

I was able to comm them from the information tab and pick the option - not sure it'll consistently be available, but it was for me last time.

Half right.

You need to be docked on the station and the crew member needs to have the appropriate role (if a pilot/marine).

Right click the guy and select comms, if your docked in the right place and have the right role assigned there will be a "Transfer crew member" dialog option. If its light blue, person meets criteria. If its greyed out, he doesnt.

Also some of these missions have *minimum requirements* and some have *exact requirements*. The difference is the former is relatively easy, the later is basically impossible as they normally require exactly 1* less morale than the main attribute, and 90% of crew (hired or on stations) have morale equal to or higher than their main stat, not to mention half a star in the other 2 career stats.

Getting a crew member with exactly 1* in boarding and 0* in every other category is a galaxy wide needle in a haystack task.

In my experience the marine missions require exact stats, pilots and managers dont. Yours may differ though.

Oh and pilots need to be the actual pilot.

Anyone reading this now - Go to the station, go to ship info, right click on the marine, select comm, then in the comm select transfer. This is the way.

I just do those missions by:
1) Going to my Map
2) Selected my ship (with the marine in it)
3) Right click the station and choose "transfer crew"
4) Open up the "see all crew members" tab and you can choose which individual crew to transfer. It's also a nice way to see which crew are eligible because the others are all greyed out.

Depends on what the mission wants, often its just 1* marines. Fully agree for anything 2* and above though, those guys are worth their weight in starbucks

You can buy the needed crew/marines from stations by walking around the landing pads and manually hiring them. However, most of these missions aren't worth it because of the time investment.
