finding alot of mines in space i can fly to untargetable?!!

I am finding mines in space as objects as usual, fly to them find out its a mine through visual only because i cant target them, cant shoot them, but they will detonate and harm me if i get too close. Is this intentional or a current bug?

I been seeing the same thing recently. Not sure if its a bug or intentional, but its annoying as hell.

I've come across mines, both guarding areas and guarding abandonded ships. I've never tried to shoot the ones guarding areas, but you can shoot the ones guarding ships. I cannot target them, but you can hit them, it's just kinda hard to get the cursor right on them, as they're pretty tiny. It gets easier if you get closer, but more risky, obviously.

I've never been able to target mines, i assume its intentional. They will detonate if you get too close.

You have a keybinding for shoot at cursor position or something like that so you're still able to manually hit them.

Most of the time you will actually be able to target them, just click on the the '?' icon in the gravidar. Sometimes the '?' icons disapear as you get close though.

And i've also found many clusters of random mines throughout my game, only ever found 1 abandoned ship though.

If you get close enough that the mine actually appears as a pixelated core in the centre of the glare then it's generally within range. I find that when I wave my targetting over it the dots for each gun fractionally lock onto the mine. Just the tiniest bit. But it's enough to tell me I can shoot it now.

I hit this recently. I found if I approach slowly the question marks change to red icons in the mini-map (I couldn't see it in the main map). Then I could select the red icon in the mini-map and target the mini directly. It takes a bit of care but was much easier than trying to manually aim (especially because my gun kept targetting the abandoned ship instead of shooting where I was aiming).
