Where to find Frigates, Destroyer, Corvette ?

Hi, maybe I'm stupid, or blind, but I can't seems to find any Wharf ou Shipyard with Frigates and Corvette and other M-Class ship. There is only Freighter, Miner but no other "combat" ships than the S-Class fighters and scout

The ship selection in X4 is very limited... you mostly have the ships from the Argon/Paranids/Teladi. So you basicly have 8 S-Class, 8 M-Class, 6 L-Class and 2 XL-Class ships for each faction. Frigates and Corvettes are no longer own classes

Damn from what I read on the subreddit, the official forum, or here I thought there were dedicated frigates. So any advice for a multipurpose bigger ship than my first Elite ? (10h on the same cockpit can get a little tiresome)

Frigates and Corvettes are under medium ships now. They are available at the wharf stations.

Well for the Argon you could use the Cerberus... but if you look for something like the Split Tiger from X3:AP there is no such thing as far as i know

All Ship Stations sell other ship variants z.b. Lift the Antigone memorial sell good Trader ships ( more cappa as other ) Dreieinigkeit III Righte center have realy nice War ships ( more weapons as other ) but for better ships you need level up you fraktion level 10+ XL and L ships are at the Big ship factory and M / S are at the smarl one

not sure bigger is better, others are 3x faster while only little smaller :)

And so far the best corvette (basically a destroyer, while frigates are support ships) I've found is paranid nemesis (I'm using vanguard variant), maneuverable and fast as an S-ships, with 5 gun hardpoints, 2 shields and two turrets capable of firing at the target ahead as well as backward (and mine are targetting well so they help a bit, not that it needs a help with that weaponry as any M ship won't even make it atop or behind).

Oh I guess I'm gonna farm some paranid reputation, that's exactly what I want ! (if the design of the ship please me, I'm that vain : if the ship don't please me I don't buy it, even if I play only in FP mode).

It's OK. I'm the same way. Looks are everything. Personally I love the look of the Argon Federation ships.

I do like the look of paranid ships, but them are their traders small and limited in capacity and even slower then the argon ones. I did replace my 10k Teladi transporter with a 7k Argon one that is 3 times the speed and I notice that latter one bring in more profit. As for some reason the autotrader only buys up limited resources for one order. So never had it fill up my cargo even on the 7k one.

But look around, I do think I found one or 2 corvettes, don't forget to check the wharfs/shipyards from all the factions. As the HAT do sell other Heavy Fighters then then the ARG. The HAT heavy fighter wields 6 weaponslots and is faster, but then again it is more fragile then one of hte ARG Heavy Fighter which comes with 2 shieldslots instead of 1. So the different factions do have different types. At least in S and M sized ships, not seen much difference in the X and XL size ships.

Though I do hope that Egosoft will put more variety of ships back in the game so we can reach the number of ships we had available to us as in X3. As I do sometimes miss some of the other ships and would love to have more X and XL ships as well.
