Teladi have strong hull and access to the best shield, they also have the largest cargo holds in most instances. They are however, rather slow for their class usually.
Argon ships seem to be balanced and have no particularly speciality. Really it only feels like the Teladi are truly unique, Paranids are just fast, Argons are nothign in particular while Teladi ships excel in multiple areas but suck in some others.
EDIT: Forgot to mention the different fighters. Both factions have their own but I like the Republic's Pulsar model cuz it has 6 guns.
ARG sells the Quasar Vanguard and Eclips Vanguard, a pair of "heavy fighters" with 4 weapons.. While I've yet to see those sold by the ANT.
Meanwhile, ANT sells the above mentioned Pulsar with it's mother ****ing SIX weapon mounts.
It's superior in all ways to the Quasar Vanguard. (Pulsar's "1,900 hull? That's only 100 more than the Elite I started with!" looks a lot better compared to 1,700 hull on a heavy fighter) Unless you'd hate yourself for having 150 cargo space instead of 190.
But, the ANT Wharf I've found does not have a bulky heavy fighter. While the ARG Eclipse for sale may seem a bit sluggush (Great combat speeds, but low for a fighter travel speeds) , and have "only" 4 guns. It's still got 4k hull, and TWO shields teladi style.
I wonder it the HAT sells the 'missing' ship variants of ARG and ANT? When it comes to the Argon at least.
