Mining and hitting a demand limit.
Hey!
I've build a fleet of hydrogen miners (7 ships) and after some period of time i've noticed that overall demand of hydrogen has almost hit it limit. So according to map trading info almost noone needs hydrogen in the whole galaxy anymore because of 7 M-sized mining ships. I have satellite network almost in every system , so trading info is correct.

I wonder what happens next when you hit the limit? (btw its a shame that a few cheap ships can just close a whole market of particular resource...this is strange) Your miners just standing still or they keep selling their wares even if nobody need it "behind the scenes" to keep it working? Have you encountered a simmular situation in your playthrough?
And why do we have a capital mining ships? They will mine all the resources needed in like two runs , according to map trading info... :/

this seems that they balance each other out qoute good , I run with a 3 miners to 1 trader rule my side , when i find a new system i simply expand into that as well , though at first when I only had miners I had some problems come up where they would fly longer and longer before selling

I flew to a station adn checked and it was basicly full so decided to order some stuff to clear some space and the miners sold wares at that station again , so I added in traders many many traders that seemed to work for your 7 miners I would recommend 2 trade ships

pro tip move your traders to the system where your mining before setting them to auto trad as once you set them to auto trade the system they are in when activating it seems to become there home system

Someone else mentioned it in another thread, what is probably needed is a ship or two dedicated to exporting the wares those stations are producing.

Basically you can't have too much of everything and gotta keep a watchful eye on the market.

This game teaches you economy pretty well I must say.

You should have started from silicon and ore mining. Stations need tons of those at the beginning

There are hundreds of NPC miners.

Thank your for your answers :)
Yep, i have silicon-ore fleet as well. But still ,market in x4 feels very small in comparecent with x3 or X:R. Both fleets are very cheap and costs like 2.5 millions total and thats enough to cover the whole industry. Well it seems like i need to build stations for next tier wares...

There is still competition to be had. Additionally you can set up your own factories to use the liquids.

I suggest you have couple manually controlled transporters to move the goods from the station so you keep feeding them raw mats.

Plus I think that the economy is only starting in our games. :) You're most likely about to see demand for materials you havent seen yet etc.

i think the economy might be a bit slow. In previous games certain sectors had issues (like terrans in AP), maybe in this game since everything is new once again the overall eco has issues.

If wares move slowly or not at all and the endproducts are not consumed, then the input, the ores and gases, are not needed much.

Yeah thank you for that tip. I was wondering why my trader kept going back to one system and was not staying and trading in the other I wanted him to.

That's correct. You have to move the product yourself. I haven't reached the top level of industry yet, but I think when the economy runs dry at the top level, then you will have to destroy product to keep the economy fluid. And by destroying product I mean blowing up spaceships.

i think the issue might be that not much is happening. So far i have not seen any xenon or khaak attacks, i even have problems just seeing ANY xenon or khaak at all! Certainly no invasions that woud require rebuilding of ships and stations.
