No mouse cursor (sovled NOT!, AFTER DAYS OF WORKING NO MOUSE CURSOR AGAIN!!!)

Hi all,,, anyone have any clue as to why I see no mouse? I don't see it when in the game menus or hit the shift+space on the keyboard.. I have an invisable mouse since when I move it around I can see it's interacting with the game but just can't see it??

UPDATE:: Mouse ONLY showing up in windowed mode!

playing with friends we all get differant issues and any thing that goes missing or stops working hit Escape, and Escape again works most of the time ( including mouse going missing)

Something, key pressess it what ever can cause the game to play up.

Game is unplaybe in current state, it's 2018 and mouse pointer is invisable? seriously egosoft... looks like i'm going to have to refund...

and I tried the 1 possible solution I found on the web of disable both "Hide pointer while typing" and "Display pointer trails". Still DOESNT WORK...

I also switched off the mouse setting "Display pointer trails", which seems to solve the problem on the fly without having to reboot.

I don't have a clue what ur talking about as I have NO issues with mouse pointers in litteraly the hundreds of games I play...

P,laying with the mouse setting in windows allows me to see the mouse pointer in this game at the very start of it's booting up... I can move the mouse and all in the at that point..

Then the intro splash screen comes on, after that when the game comes to the initial menu where you can choose a 'new game' the mouse is gone, never to be seen from again..

This is crappy work EgoSoft.

going to give this a few more days before I refund... absolutely RIDICULOUS that we need to ♥♥♥ with mouse settings in windows to get a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ $50 game to work properly..

I have kind of the opposite problem. The mouse cursor is moving on it's own. It works fine during the X4 load screen, I can move the cursor no problem. But as soon as it gets to the main menu the cursor just moves diaginally down and to the left on it's own. Started a game using the keyboard and the camera is just spinning on it's own.
£40 on a broken, unplayable game. Nice.

Disconnect gamepads and/or joysticks you have connected.

You might try that, too, OP.

P.S. I have no problems that are not easily solved. The game is not "a mess" because a minority of people have technical problems. It seems worse because you are part of that minority.

i had no cursor. it was because i had cursor trailing enabled in windows. disabling it fixed it.

OMG thank you!!!

That's exactly what it was, I plugged the mouse directly into my labtop USB 3.0 and it appears in game now.. but when it was going through the USB hub that was a no go, unreal!

But to be fair to say "a minority of people having technical problems" is flat out ridiculous, the steam and egosoft forms is literally LIT UP with all sort of ridiculous bugs that seems like this game was hardly tested.

lmaoooooooooo so after days of the mouse showing up after plugging it direction into my laptops USB 3.0 slot.... Now it doesn't show up AGAIN, with absolutely no changes to the system..

Tried messing with the mouse settings in windows again (disabling the two options people have been advising) and nada.... LOL, awesome work egosoft, just BRAVO!!!!
